seriously for the price its great, for what i plan to use it . perfect for me, i was expecting the pedal plate to be a little flemsy, but that thing is 1/4 inch plate and its super solid, maybe it ll not take a 20nm wheel but i dont plan to get there so around 10nm will be plenty for me and for that it ll do the job #1, maybe i would add brackets to hold the wheel tower for a stronger wheel, but overall . for the rice it cant be better. :)

Fantastic chassis for the price

Extremely happy with the ASR1 chassis. Assembly was relatively easy; the video by ASR and Sim Racing Garage made the process simple and answered the few questions that I had. The chassis is extremely strong and punches above it's weight. Using a CSL DD with the boost kit along with the CSL Elite V2 pedals, I notice nearly no flex at all when running full torque and 50% brake force. Mounting and adjustability for the components are good as well, with the pedal plate being just adjustable enough to allow a perpendicular pedal with both the Fanatec CSL and CSL Elite V2. The adjustment on the side mount is good as well, allowing more than enough tilt on the motor and side supports. The only issue that I ran into while assembling was once I began mounting my reclining chair. Because of the height and lack of tilt, you will need to either purchase a seat tilt bracket or make an adjustment to the aluminum at the base to tilt the seat backwards. If left flat, the seat can become quite uncomfortable because of how close the height is relative to the pedal tray. This, of course, is dependent on whether you install a reclining (bottom mount) or bucket seat (side mount w/ angle brackets). Overall I think this is one of, if not THE best entry level aluminum chassis. After making the needed adjustments to my seat angle I have been extremely happy with the construction and performance of this rig.

The quality of packaging is incredible, The quality of the coating too, shipping was SUPER FAST. It Is really rigid too, it can handle my CSL DD with the boost kit at 8nm with no issues. No flex at all. If you are thinking on buying it, go and Buy right away.

Topnotch quality. Chassis is very rigid even just a base model. Reasonable price on what you get.

  • The ASR 1 will now be offered in powder coated Matte Black at an even cheaper price than before.
  • The ASR 1, with its 1.5" aluminum profile base, is our entry level chassis that doesn't compromise in any way and offers SimRacers excellent value for their investment when compared to the competition at the same price point.
  • We created this very affordable chassis with zero flex, zero frills and unparalleled quality.
  • It can offer performance far superior to any wheel stand, folding chair-type rig or entry level chassis available out there, at a price that literally can't be beat by any of our competitors.
  • The ASR 1 is built tough to support any kind of resistance-type or belt-driven wheel base. Although it doesn't feature heavy aluminum profile like our upper tier models, it is made of top-grade alloy Aluminum sourced in the United States of America.
  • Produced and packaged in Canada with the utmost care and attention.
  • Although a bit more constrained when it comes to pedal plate adjustment and angle possibilities when compared to the ASR 3, 4 & 6, the chassis will still be easily adjustable in pedal height, angle, and position depending on the racing style and comfort level you are looking for.
  • Highly adjustable wheel deck that gives you the opportunity to create your own customized and optimal racing position.
  • Chassis size and format is adequate for most builds and heights (Up to 6'6" or 1.98m).
  • The ASR 1 is sold with our Standard Wheel Deck (Entry level and mid-range products from quality manufacturers such as Thrustmaster, Fanatec and Logitech) or our CSL DD Pro Side Mount (exclusively for Fanatec's CSL DD & DD Pro)
  • The ASR 1 doesn't come standard with a Shifter Arm, but we offer 2 distinct options for SimRacers looking to expand their arsenal of peripherals: The Simple Shifter Arm which consist of one horizontal aluminum beam that can be mounted to your rig's steering support column, or the Supported Shifter Arm that includes a thicker horizontal aluminum beam and a vertical support beam that attaches to your rig's base for extra sturdiness.
  • Please note that all steel parts such as Wheel Mounting Plates and Pedal Plates or Trays come in a textured matte black finish (Powder coat)
    • Base composition : 1.5" x 1.5"
    • Steering column composition : 3" x 1.5"
    • Base length : 50"
    • Base width : 22"
    • Chassis height from adjustable rubber feet to tip of the steering column : 26.5"
