When I first put together my racing rig (ASR 4), I decided not to use a seat slider partly based on things I read on the net about the possibility of slack in the locking mechanism (in general, not this particular product). Fast forward a year, and I am now using my rig for flight sim as well. Using the static seat position, I needed to recline the seat in order to minimize interference with my elbow when using the flight stick. Since it was still not ideal, I decided to bite the bullet and install a seat slider in order to move it forward or backward depending on the sim genre. To my pleasant surprise, the ASR seat slider seems to have practically no slack when locked. Even when rocking back and forth, there is no noise or motion. Should have bought this sooner, lol.
